Clemson vs. Georgia Tech score: Live game updates, college football scores, NCAA top 25

ATLANTA — After a scoreless first quarter, No. 4 Clemson found some semblance of offense with a pair of touchdowns to go up 14-3 on Georgia Tech as the two teams enter halftime.

Following a sluggish start, the Tigers finally found a spark in the second quarter in the form of a blocked punt that put the offense at the Yellow Jackets 5-yard line. Four plays later, running back Will Shipley punched it in from a yard out to get his team on the board. Clemson then scored a touchdown on its next possession in a more traditional fashion courtesy of an eight-play, 67-yard drive — by far the team’s best of the first half. That was capped with a touchdown from DJ Uiagalelei to Beaux Collins from six yards out.

Though Georgia Tech hasn’t matched Clemson on the scoreboard, the Yellow Jackets offense did find some success moving the ball in the second quarter, and Jude Kelley’s 45-yard field goal at least got his team some points before the half.

Overall, Clemson’s defense has been the story in this one. The Tigers have five tackles for loss and only allowed one first down on eight third-down attempts.
